Jain veggie burger (No potato, no onion, no garlic) by Dhara Shah

Have made the jain patties here using raw bananas and tastes yummy in veg burger!
Preparation time: 20 mins, Cooking time: 15 mins


Serves 2 People

  1. To make patties:
  2. 2 boiled raw bananas
  3. 1 cup boiled peas
  4. 1 cup grated carrot
  5. 1 tbsp chopped green chillies
  6. 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  7. 2 tsp salt
  8. 1 tbsp sugar
  9. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  11. 1 tsp garam masala
  12. 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  13. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  14. To fry patties:
  15. oil
  16. 1 cup all purpose flour slurry
  17. 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  18. Veggies for burger:
  19. 1 cup sliced tomatoes
  20. 1 cup sliced cucumber
  21. 1 cup lettuce leaves
  22. Other Ingredients:
  23. 2 Cheese slices
  24. 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  25. 2 tbsp jain ketchup
  26. 1 tsp red chilli flakes


Patties preparation:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add boiled and mashed raw bananas, boiled peras, carrot, all other ingredients and mix it well.
  2. Make the circular patties from that stuffing and dip into all purpose flour slurry. Rub that into fresh bread crumbs and deep fry them.

Burger preparation:

  1. Cut the better buns into half, put they in non stick pan which is greased with butter and let it be hot
  2. Now apply butter in base bun, put tomato and cucumber slices, patty, apply mayonnaise and ketchup and then put lettuce and finally cheese slice! Put the second half of the bun on top and serve it with fresh fries and drink!
