Chinese Dry Manchurian balls (No onion, No garlic)

Manchurian is a delicious Chinese dish which comprises of dumplings in spicy Chinese gravy. The dumplings can be made with vegetables,  mushroom or any ingredients of your choice. This is the recipe for vegetable Manchurian, so it’s perfect for the vegetarians.

Preparation time: 10 mins, cooking time: 15 mins

INGREDIENTS:

Manchurian balls:
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • Oil to deep fry
For gravy:
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 cup finely chopped red, green and yellow bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped French beans
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 2  finely chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 2 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp corn flour slurry
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

STEPS:

Manchurian balls preparation:
  1. In a mixing bowl mix all the ingredients and make the balls.
  2. Deep fry them and keep aside.
Gravy preparation:
  1. In a sauce pan, put the oil and add all dry ingredients, mix it well and cook for 2 mins.
  2. Now add water and cook for 2 more mins.
  3. Now add corn flour slurry and stir continuously until it gets thicken.
  4.  Now add Manchurian balls we prepared and mix well.
  5. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot in dinner!
